This wine has a fragrant bouquet of fruit, flowers, and spice. The aromas of clove and cinnamon are blended with rosemary and lavender followed by aromas of currant, plum and cherry. On the first sip, the sweet flavors of cherry, raspberry, blackberry, and plum are followed by the savory notes of chicory, coffee, and cinnamon. The texture of the wine is smooth with grippy tannins giving texture to the finish. This wine will pair well with a spicy rich pasta like a penne Amatriciana.

2019 Gulrajani Sanjaya Yountville Napa Valley
The 2019 Sanjaya has an inviting purple hue that sparkles as you swirl. Your nose is entranced with raspberry, black cherry, plum, clove and cinnamon aromas. Floral scents of violets and lavender are accented by hints rosemary and exotic aromas of sandalwood. With the first sip the wine shows great weight and texture, yet with much finesse as the mid-palate expands with flavors of dried cherry, raspberry, currant, vanilla, crushed rose petal and spicy plum pudding. The finish is luxurious and mouth-watering. A charcuterie board with cured meats and creamy rich cheeses would be a fantastic accompaniment to this big flavored wine.
