The 2020 Sanjaya is a deep well of cherry aromas, brushed with slate and gravel notes, accented with essence of rose, cranberry and eucalyptus. The fruit flavors expand on the palate, soft and juicy with plum preserve, blackberry, more cherry and cola as things become a bit grippy with tannin on the finish. This wine will cellar well long-term, for short-term drinking give it a vigorous decant and pair it with savory grilled Italian sausage and rustic bread.
