The 2019 La Colina Chardonnay shows all the signature Nicholson Ranch attributes.  The aroma is a bouquet of floral, spice, fruit and mineral notes. The first aroma is a hint of lemon zest that gives way to the elegant aroma of orange blossoms.  Fruit aromas of pear are delicately spiced with saffron and nutmeg.  Aromas of wet river rocks and driftwood give the wine a minerally tinge.  On the palate the wine is lean with flavors of lime, lemon, pear and green apple.  The flavors are rounded off by the taste of caramel and crème brulee.  In all, a delicious Chardonnay, that is pleasing from the first sip to the last.
