The 2018 Nirvana Pinot Noir initially smells like some sort of rose liqueur, then as the intensity of the complex aromas build there is red fruit, cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, black currant, then leather and cola notes. Sip the wine and encounter more red fruit, strawberry and sour cherry as well as crushed raspberries, blackberries and vanilla. Luxuriate in the smooth texture, sweet taste, and lastly the gentle but firm grip of tannins on the finish. Pair with sheep’s milk cheeses or your favorite preparation of duck.
