2018 Dry Farmed Pinot Noir

The 2018 Dry Farmed Pinot exemplifies the results of “dry farming” the practice of not irrigating the vines. The berry size is smaller and the skins are thicker giving the resulting wine concentrated and layered flavors. On the first swirl of the glass the wine shows aromas of dried rose petals, cherry liqueur and pomegranate molasses spiced with cinnamon and clove with a forest-floor undertone. With the first sip, the flavors of a berry cocktail burst open on the palate. Sweet flavors of strawberry, cranberry, raspberry and cherry are balanced with the bitterness of orange rind. This wine continues to evolve in the glass and reveals new aromas with every sip.
