The 2017 Syrah has a complex bouquet of flowers, spice, wood and the aromas of roasted meat.  The essence of roses and violets mingle with the aromas of plums and boysenberries.  Bay leaf, cocoa and licorice accent cedar and tobacco aromas.  The smell of leather, and aromas of roast beef and bacon fat give the wine a meaty flavor.  On the palate the sweet fruit flavors of cherry, plum, black currants and pomegranate are spiced with bitter chocolate, rosemary and anise.  This wine will pair extremely well with a marbled steak or a Bolognese sauce.
