This is the first release of our 2017 vintage.  The Sonoma Valley Pinot Noir has distinct Nicholson Ranch qualities – floral and fruit aromas accented by earthy aromas.    The first impression on the nose reminds me of a cherry orchard – with the scent of fruit, earth and trees.  Floral notes of rose and hibiscus mingle with fruit aromas of cherry and strawberry.  Hints of vanilla, lavender and bergamot remind me of spiced black tea.  The wine shows flavors of red fruit – strawberry, cherry, pomegranate with some raspberry.  Cedar and clove and graham cracker flavors accent the fruit.  The wine is well balanced and is ready to drink now
