The 2016 La Chapelle is aged for three years in barrel and two years in bottle like a first-growth Bordeaux.  The wine has bold and intense aromas of vanilla, violets, chocolate, tobacco and cedar incense.  The wine has sweet fruit flavors of cherry and plum spiced with cloves and accented with bitter chocolate.  The acidity in the wine keeps the finish lively, lingering and intriguing.
