2014 Dry Farmed Pinot Noir
The 2014 Dry Farmed Pinot Noir represents the true essence of natural winemaking. The grapes are grown organically with no irrigation to assist with growth. The wine is fermented with native yeast and aged in French oak barrels for 22 months before bottling.
The first swirl of the Dry Farmed Pinot releases aromas of flowers, fruit, spice and earth. Jasmine, rose and hibiscus intermingle with strawberry, cherry and raspberry. Notes of vanilla, clove and cinnamon spice up the coffee and mocha aromas. Adding to the complexity are the earthy warm organic smells of rain on dry summer soil. All these aromas mingle together and remain on the palate till the last sip. The wine has a beautiful silky texture with supple tannins providing a smooth entry, rounded mid-palate and a long finish. Flavors of strawberry, tart cherries and cassis are accented by spice and toast. The flavors are concentrated, almost candied, and the full-bodied texture envelopes your entire palate.
